Aultmore 2008 14 Year Old Single Malt Whisky Thompson Bros 48.5% 10 Year Old honey and peppery notesHere we have combined two 2008 rye barrel matured Aultmore casks and of an Oloroso seasoned Aultmore octave (the remainder of the octave was bottled exclusively for Dornoch Castle Hotel). The spicy and nutty rye barrels combined with a heavy, albeit small, punch of the cask of Oloroso delivers some beautiful sweet and savoury flavours, probably more akin to what you would expect from something matured in Amontillado.
